Why was pinfire ever used, and how was it economically manufactured?" Essentially, pinfire represents a cartridge development that predates the technology to draw brass cartridge cases. Pinfire developed from the first Pauly self-contained cartridges, and in its original iteration is used a non-obdurating case head combined with a paper body. It became popular because it was a convenient fit with the existing firearms architecture - the hammer required to fire a pinfire cartridge could be nearly identical to the hammer from a percussion lock. As technology around brass improved by the 1850s, solid brass cartridges became possible. At this point the all-metal pinfire cartridge evolved, and became popular driven by Eugène Lefaucheux as a continuation of his father Casimir Lefaucheux's original system. At the same time, many other cartridge systems were also in development. Pinfire got a boost from its existing manufacturing and intellectual property foundations, while other cartridges had to create their own new firearms platforms. In the US, George Morse (of Baton Rouge, not South Carolina as I say in the video - sorry) invented the predecessor to the modern centerfire cartridge and primer, but his work was interrupted by the US Civil War, and further by Morse's allegiance to the Confederacy and thus his difficulty in refining his invention during the war. Eventually, though, the most efficient system - centerfire - came to dominate the firearms landscape. Don't worry I thick's to the camera rotation within seconds of filming but this is my Austrian made to millimeter of pin fire gun I am so excited to finally own one after years of searching for the right 1 although would grip ones don't look good to me so I had to try to find a original 1 made in the 1930s to 1960s from Austria and I finally stumbled across to 1 person that was getting rid of it for $70

So several years ago I posted a 3 second video shooting my Xythos 2mm pinfire on the first day. I really only posted the video to YouTube to have a backup file and an easier way to show friends. I had no intention of having a channel then. Well it ended up being a lot of views so, when I bought my new 2mm I decided to make an update video. This one will be a little longer than 3 seconds so you have been warned! Up until my first video, I had only seen the 2mms fire 1 time. So I was excited to see it happen in real life! Now there are a few videos online of them shooting but not too many. No-one of them actually have shown the 2mm ballistics Gel until today! Btw.. these are not considered 🔥 arms by the ATF. These are considered signaling devices because they can shoot 4mm flares. Therefore, they can be bought and sold online and mailed through the mail without a FFL transfer. I also will be putting behind the scenes footage of my making this video on my Patreon soon so check it out!
